Disclaimer – this has nothing to do with the usual geekery or search. Sorry.

So a few months ago, I accidentally discovered  a band called Nana Grizol on a random Muxtape someone sent me… I instantly fell in love with them – it’s a mix of Bright Eyes/Neutral Milk Hotel esque sounds, Theo Hilton’s “scarily similar to Conor Oberst’s” voice and some downright genius lyrics.

I shared this with old pal & adopted father-figure Mr. JB. A little slow on the uptake (bless him), Mr. JB has now 4 months later realised how very right I was (duh), admitted eternal undying love and asked them to come visit to make my and his dreams come true. I’ve been whining about NEEDING to see them, considering a quick dash across to Georgia US and generally sighing wistfully since my first listen.

It turns out Nana Grizol love us too! (Aww). And they’re desperate to come play for us in the UK but just have a few minor work permit issues preventing them…. it is our mission to bring them over.

Here’s how the email between Laura Carter of Nana Grizol & Neutral Milk Hotel fame, Mr. JB (and a forward onto me) played out:
