2010 has been eventful so far.
I stayed out and up far too long throughout most of the last month of 2009 (7 xmas dinners and a lot of eggnog later…), continued that into the first 24/48 hours of 2010 and am now paying the price. Well I’ve been paying the price for the last week that is. Girlflu has hit home. And with it, insomnia. Amazing how the inability to breathe properly can really affect your sleep patterns…

So…. because I couldn’t sleep but I also did not have the brain activity for much beyond sleeping, I made a “Can’t Get Snow Sleep” playlist on Spotify. Thank all gods for Spotify. It’s not all the normal music I listen to on a day to day basis but it got me through a few nights with a gentle melodic patting and some intense bass soothing.
Having been working solidly since I came out the other side of girlflu approx 2.5 days ago, I can also safely say that it works pretty well as music to work late into the night to. And now – 5 days after its birth, and a few too many times of listening to it, I’m going to put it up here for all to enjoy and then lay it and this insomniac painful week of 2010 to rest (pun fully intended).

May it get you through some sleepless nights, working eves and painful lungs periods with less of a grimace on your face.
